Jason worked this year on the holiday so, I joined my sister's family for the annual Edmonds Kid's Parade. Instead of staying on the sidelines, we joined in on the festivities by walking in the parade. Laila loved having auntie paint a star on her cheek and proudly waved her flag. She was a trooper with ALL the walking. We then joined my sister's family for a BBQ that evening. No fireworks for us, just a really fun day with my kiddos.
