First recital.

L had her first ballet recital.  She was a flower fairy.  Thank you grandparents for coming out to cheer her on!  She still talks about being on stage.

Recital.

I know, I know... All ballet pics look the same.  However, this was a mini recital & she has improved SO much lately

Ballet.

L had her LAST ballet class today.  I'm relieved.  Unfortunately, this session was lame.  She had 12 girls in her class which was WAY too many, her teacher never knew her name, she played annoying music, & wasn't as strict as L needed.  The one positive of this class was seeing my friend Heather each week.  It was great having L involved in something that my friend's little girl was a part of.  My hope is to get Lai back in her original small ballet class this summer or fall.   Until then, our living room blasting "The Nutcracker" (or Brandi Carlile for that matter) will have to do.

Thanks Grandpa for coming out to see L wander around the dance floor today.

And the ballet phase continues...

Laila continues to "wow" audiences all over our humble little city... And, we were very excited to find out that she snagged the last spot in a new ballet class.  We were even more excited to find out that one of her friends is in the same class!

Long live our Blue Swan...

Ballet

Before L walked in to her new (& very first ever) ballet class she said that she was hoping a boy was in the class that could "lift her up" (I suppose like she's seen in TV ballet shows) .  Alas, there were no boys but, she LOVED the class & as you can see was a total dolly.  Yay for fun classes at our local community centers!

All the other girls had skirts to hold with their curtsies, L improvised with her leotard...

Her form was consistently right-on with her teacher's.  Atta girl.
