Year of copper & wool.

Today we celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary.  I didn't buy Jason copper or wool, but I did share my crepe with him.  (The least he could have done for me was shave... )  :)

Matching jams.

then...
...& now

10 months.

Axel has continued to fill my heart with joy, amazement & chuckles.  He's currently SO close to taking his first little crawl, he just had his 2nd tooth pop through & he loves hair.  If you are strong enough to hold my big guy, his hands will go immediately to the back of your neck to twirl some of your locks through his chunky little fingers.  He's currently eating everything & anything - favorites include: any kind of meat or fish, berries, plain yogurt & his morning porridge of kale, brown rice, black beans & applesauce (mmm right!?).  He still grunts constantly & says "mama" & "dada".  What a little lovie he is!

City books.

I feel like Laila took to books right away.  And, after many books pushed aside by Axel he's FINALLY picking-up & trying to take a look-see...  Here are some Seattle kids books we've really enjoyed:

They have most major cities &/or states as well as some countries...  These are darling board books.
"Beetle on the noodle" as L calls it - this is a classic Seattle book that we shared with L for the first time this week.
Larry also gets lost in other cities!  We've ordered San Fran & LA from the library...

A Day at the Market
Sara Anderson is fabulous & has other great books too.

Do you know of other city books we'd enjoy?

The girlies.

Love these two...
As you can see, Natalie made little name labels for all the kids - I personally found this very helpful, (wink). :)

Senior pictures.

I heart you.

Thanks auntie (aka Martha) & Crafty Crow for this fun lil art project.

I however would recommend starting off with:

1 cup cinnamon
3/4 cup applesauce
1/4 glue

It's a fun project for kids & makes your house smell DEVINE.

Once cut & dried we then turned them into Valentines & yummy smelling decorations.  You can of course use food coloring, paint or glitter too (however the week kinda got away from me so, we left them as is.)

It has turned a light fixture that I dislike into less of an eye soar.

P.S. See the tiny little center piece on my table?  It's a Christmas Cactus that my aunt gave all the Olsson gals.  It's a start from my great-grandmothers cactus that she brought back from Sweden!  Lovely gift eh!?

Field trip.

J's working at 35's today. L had been asking all morning to go see daddy's "new special station" so, we popped-in to pay him a visit.  The new stations ARE amazing, they're quite big, super clean & seem really efficient.  L's favorite part?  Seeing the old engine.  My fav?  Seeing my man in his uni & getting an afternoon hug.
