Anyone else have giant kale this year?

These edible flowers were sweet and delicious!  

& the rosemary was pretty great this year too!

The Farm.

We tried out a different pumpkin patch this year, The Farm.  

Megan joined the kids & I for the fun-filled day away.  

Hay ride! 

We loved this place & both agreed this was the best one we had ever been to.  After arriving home, I read a friend's blog & apparently we missed the corn pit & duck races - shoot!  

We'll for sure have to go back next year.  

Harvesting Potatoes.

Papa & Gram had 5 of the 6 over to help harvest potatoes!  Results?  A bucket full!

Harvesting Tomatoes.

The weather has changed leaving most households in the NW with many green tomatoes.  Here's for hoping some will ripen...

...and, here's for hoping my kids will leave them alone.

Gram showered us with bunches of these fragrant flowers again this year... As you can see, this continues to be some of L's favorite flowers.  Thanks Gram!

Fever broke!

L woke up this morning for the 4th morning in a row with a temp around 104!  I promptly gave her meds & called her doctor.  We decided to take it easy but, I was itching to get outside before it got too hot.  So, I took the kids down to our new favorite park to swing, eat wild blue & blackberries, & watch the ferry boats & trains go by.  Ax did great in the swing too!

After her afternoon nap L woke up feeling good!!! Her fever broke!!! So, we packed up everyone again & headed to grams to run through the sprinkler, pick green beans for dinner & EAT!  Praise the Lord, our little girl is healed!

Her appetite is back & she ate more food than gram & I combined!
